Wire Screen Mesh

All metal wire screens are used as final covers on upper press plates.
In order to avoid shine you may fix more than one layer of metal wire screen to the press.
Moreover metal wire screens are used as steam diffusors and filters by putting them directly upon the metal press plates. Depending on the mesh no.
(#50 = wide, #60 = medium, #100 = tight)
and the weaving method (plain/smooth or twill woven) the metal wire screens are suitable for different kinds of clothing and machines.

The Polyester wire screens are stainless and do not heat up like metal wire screens and for this reason provide from spots and heat marks on the clothing.

On strongly vaulted presses you should only use
twill woven wire screen because of its better
distortion ability.

Purpose: Used on the upper plate of presses as very smooth final cover.
The smooth surface is excellent for pressure sensitive garment like poplin.
It can only be used on flatly vaulted presses due to its stiffness.
