1) STANDARD MESH FOR CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT
The production of mesh reinforcement complies to BS 4483. Mesh is produced from cold reduced deformed steel wires according to BS 4482.
a) Mechanical Properties
Specified characteristic strength: 460 N/mm?/font>
Tensile Strength: min 510 N/mm? In addition either the tensile strength recorded in the tensile test shall be at least 5% greater than the recorded yield strength or alternatively the minimum elongation shall be not less than 12% measured on a gauge length of 5do.
Shear strength of the weld: The shearing load required to produce failure of a welded intersection shall be not less than 0.25 A fy, where A is the nominal cross-sectional area of the smaller wire at the welded intersection and fy is the characteristic yield stress of the wire (460 N/mm?.

NON- STANDARD AND BENT MESH FOR CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT
The production of mesh reinforcement complies to BS 4483. Mesh is produced from cold reduced deformed steel wires according to BS 4482.
Welded wire mesh can be produced to order in special sizes (Width, length, spacing, etc.) in order to suit the specific requirements of each project so that the maximum benefit is gained.
Welded wire mesh can be also bent into different shapes for the reinforcement of retaining walls, parapets, tube structures, manholes, box culverts and canals.

According to BS 1052 (Mild steel wire for general engineering purposes) and DIN 1548 (Zinc coating on round steel wires), the galvanised fencing weldmesh in rolls is produced from soft ordinary galvanised wire of 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 and 2.5mm diametre. It can be found in rolls of 20 and 25 metres length, in 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 metres height and in pitch distances of 50x50mm, 100x50mm, 100x60mm, 75x50mm, 50x25mm and 50x12.5mm.

2) STANDARD FENCING FABRIC MESH
a) MESH TYPES F1, F2: They are produced according to BS 4483 from cold reduced deformed steel wires according to BS 4482, exactly as the structural mesh for concrete reinforcement.
b) F3, F4, F5: These types of fencing fabric mesh are produced again according to BS 4483 from cold reduced plain steel wires (not deformed) according to BS 4482.
c) MESH TYPE PF1: It is produced according to BS 4483. Both the longitudinal as well as the cross wires comply to BS 4482, but the longitudinal wires are of deformed type while the cross wires are of plain type.
d) F2g, F3g, F5g, F7g: These four types of mesh are produced from plain, low carbon, half hard, galvanized wires according to BS 1052 and DIN 1548.
